Dynamic Data-Driven Ship Motion Simulation toward Visual-aided Navigation on Water

Visual aids for navigation systems are a key function of intelligent onboard units ships. These visualize the planning decisions an unit computer-aided visual to reduce cognitive workload driving control personnel ship. In this study, we propose dynamic data driven method simulate motion ships on water. We constructed validation dataset ship simulation toward visual-aided considering combined effects wind, waves and currents. According results dataset, proposed exhibited good accuracy real-time performance. Under given environmental input series, mean errors simulated heading trajectory were 5.7°/h 282.6 m/h, respectively; time was 475 ms each hour physical duration. Overall, satisfies need could improve situational awareness
